Durchhalten Perseverance Berxwedan 

Lange haben wir überlegt, mit welchem Thema wir uns während unseres Austauschprogramms beschäftigen wollen.
Unsere kurdischen Freund_innen haben schließlich das Thema "Durchhalten" vorgeschlagen. "Durchhalten - Nicht aufgeben", damit kennen sich Kurd_innen aus, das größte Volk der Welt ohne eigenen Staat, verfolgt und immer immer immer wieder verraten, bis in die Gegenwart. "Durchhalten" hat aber auch etwas mit Musik zu tun. Wie lange mussten die Teilnehmer_innen durchhalten, bis sie ihr Instrument oder ihre Stimme so gut beherrschten, wie sie es jetzt tun.
Und da schließt sich der Kreis.
Kurd_innen haben durchgehalten. Sie haben ihre Identität bis hierhin bewahrt, vor allem dank ihrer Sprache und ihrer Musik.
Ein kurdisches Sprichwort besagt: "Musik ist unsere zweite Sprache". 

For a long time we thought about which topic we want to deal with during our exchange program.
Our Kurdish friends finally suggested the topic "perseverance". "Persevere - Do not give up", kurdish People do have a big experience about it. The largest nation in the world without their own state, persecuted and always betrayed again and again, to the present. But "holding on" also has something to do with music. How long did the participants have to hold out until they mastered their instrument or voice as well as they do now.
And then the circle closes.
Kurds have persevered. They have kept their identity to this point, thanks mainly to their language and their music.
A Kurdish proverb says: "Music is our 2nd language".

Why do you listen to this kind of music?

-   Enjoying, like this type.

-   Making calm, feel freedom, relaxing, feel yourself.

-   It touches me.

    Ethnic identity, because nowadays its forbidden to play the cultural Kurdish songs.

-   It satisfies my feelings, motivate me.

Was hat deinen Musikgeschmack geprägt?

What influenced your musical taste?

-     Memories, experiences, what i've done in my life, friends. 

-     Personnel value. 

-     Because of the dances in the Folkmusic. 

-     Playing accordion. 

-     Music speaks to the heart.

Which significands has music there where are you from?

- Folk music, dengbej.

- It influences behavior, change politics.

- Music change people’s life, behavior, dressing .

Was ist deiner Meinung nach der Zweck von Musik?

What is in your opinion the purpose of music?

- Music is to give life an comfort.

- To educate and entertain.

- To keep music for myself and the whole world.

- To get people together. 

Was bedeutet “Durchhalten” für dich als Person?

What kind of meaning has "perseverance" for you personally?

- Geduldig sein 

- Wenn man ein Ziel vor Augen hat an dem man sich festhält und festhalten kann,

- man motiviert ist, temporär 

- Wenn etwas schlecht läuft, aber es notwendig ist, dass man dies durchzieht, dann musst du durchhalten, frei nach dem Motto: Augen zu und durch!

- Nicht aufzugeben und seine Ziele und Wünsche zu fokussieren, egal ob einem andere rein
reden wollen oder man selbst Zweifel hat

- Für sich selbst oder andere stark zu sein
